The Root Chakra – Getting To Know Your Chakra The Root Of All Things

Roots

The Root Chakra, or mūlādhāra chakra in Sanskrit, is known as “the root of all things.” Located at the base of the spine at about tailbone-level, it acts as the individual’s center of emotional and spiritual balance, as well as instinctual consciousness. At its most basic level, the root chakra is concerned with needs. One example of a symptom of the root chakra starting to open is with the sensation of heat in different parts of your body. The base of the spine is most noted as the energy begins to regain its place in your energy field. There can also be tingling as the vibrations become established in your body and mind.

Our chakras are subtle energy bodies that interface between our energy channels and our physical organs. By examining these channels and energy bodies as they are connected to our physical bodies, we can potentially diagnose problems before they occur. At the very least we may be able to diagnose them if the symptoms are already present.
