Basic Job Functions: The responsibilities of the Logistics Coordinator include but are not limited to: scheduling and monitoring inbound and outbound shipments, tracking demurrage, calculating freight rates, and ensuring all shipping documentation is accurate. Developing and maintaining relationships with key vendors/contractors. Identifying opportunities for cost reduction and coordinating with operating departments on cost savings and improved processes. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications: • 2 years’ experience in Logistics
• Must have excellent problem solving and analytical skills with focus on accuracy
• 2 years’ ERP system experience
• Transport regulations and route experience for industrial truck, barge and rail traffic Preferred Qualifications:
